Who we are
DB Venture Partners Ltd ("we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16767666. Our registered office is 47a Northcote Road, London SW11 1NJ.
We are the controller of the personal data described here. For any question about this policy or your data, email mark@dbventurepartners.com.
This website
This website sets no cookies. We run no analytics or tracking on it. Our fonts are hosted on our own site.
The contact form
When you send us a message through the form, we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your company name, if you give it
- your message
We use these details to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversation. Our legal basis is legitimate interests: responding to people who contact us.
The form is run by Netlify, Inc., our website host. Netlify stores each submission for us and screens it for spam using an automated service. Each submission is also sent to our business email, which runs on Google Workspace. We may add enquiries to our own internal records so we can follow up.
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep what we need for that relationship and for our legal and accounting duties.
DBVP Home
DBVP Home is our internal workspace app. Only the DB Venture Partners team uses it. It is not offered to the public.
DBVP Home signs in with Google. When a team member signs in, the app receives their name and email address so it knows who they are.
DBVP Home also asks for limited access to Google Drive. It can only see and change files that the app itself created. It cannot see any other file in the user's Drive. The files it creates are stored in that user's own Google Drive.
We use this Google data only to run DBVP Home for the person who signed in. We do not sell it. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not share it with anyone else, except the service providers that host the app for us, or where the law requires it.
DBVP Home's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove DBVP Home's access at any time from the third-party connections page in your Google Account: myaccount.google.com/connections.
Where your data is processed
Netlify and Google may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- stop or limit how we use it
Email mark@dbventurepartners.com to make a request. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
